You're probably correct about BSG, which is rather sad. The final season had some real weak points (that final episode being the weakest), but both Mary McDonnell and Edward James Olmos gave Emmy-worthy performances. It's a real shame these two can't get some recognition of their great work.
When I look at that list of actresses all I can think is "Boring!" especially the idea of Sally Field and Glenn Close. Field gave nothing new to her character this past season and Close is overrated in Damages. McDonnell is far and away a better choice.

Hi Jimmy, I'm only going to comment on how right you are about Glenn Close. (IMO) Whenever I see her I cant help but want to change the channel or think about how the "Dingo took her baby". I will not even watch anything she is evolved in.She has to be the most boring actress I have ever seen,and I can not blame the role , it is just her take on them which, (IMO) sucks.Good Night Glenn...yawn

It would be just laughable if The Shield and Breaking Bad doesn't even get (multiple) nominations. 24 and House instead of Sons of Anarchy, Galactica or True Blood would be a joke too. Same goes for mainstream crap like Two and a Half men and Big Bang Theory over Californication, Pushing Daisies, How I met your Mother or United States of Tara. Sadly the Emmys are nothing more than a popularity contest so I wouldn't be surprised.
